David W. Frank was educated at Harvard University and Stanford University. Virtually all of his career post-college has been spent either teaching in a classroom or acting or directing in a theater
His acting edition of Ibsen’s The Pillars of Society and a loose adaptation of Henry Fielding’s The Mock Doctor have been published on-line (Emelior Publications, 1999). Three original theater pieces have had public performances—Millie’s Birthday Present (a play for children written for and performed on tour by the Blue Phrog players of North Country Community College, January 1975), Musical! (a revue of Broadway songs for which he wrote the book, performed by The Green Mountain Guild, December1983-Mach 1984) and 4’33” in Rehearsal, performed as part of the Buffalo Quickies short play festival in March 2007 at the Alley Theatre in Buffalo, N.Y.
